Application Process
Step 1 - Housing:
Incoming Freshmen: Return your invitation response card to the University Admission Office by the deadline noted on the card. Remember that your admission to Global Communities is contingent on your acceptance to Resident Life. You will need to confirm enrollment at the University of Maryland and apply to housing by the posted deadlines (see https://www.sis.umd.edu/servlets/AdmitEnrollConf).

Students Currently Enrolled at UM: If you already live on campus, and are guaranteed housing by resident life, submit a Room Change Request form to Resident Life (forms are available at www.resnet.umd.edu). If you do not live on campus, apply for on-campus housing by going to Annapolis Hall and filling out an application.

Step 2 - Global Communities Application:

Submit an application to Global Communities. Click here to apply via the web application. To request an application by e-mail, send your request to mlam4@umd.edu. The most important part of the application is your essay in which you should outline why you want to join Global Communities and how you believe YOU could contribute to the diversity and activities in the program and in Dorchester Hall.
