Dorchester
Hall - "Bridges" Council
Students
in Dorchester Hall are very active and involved. The main
avenue for this involvement is the hall council, "Bridges".
Bridges organizes many activities throughout the year, including
movie nights, open mic, and numerous other social events.
Bridges also oversees two major, student-run events:
International
Dinner
Each fall, students organize, host, and cook for a large
dinner where guests can sample dishes from around the
world and watch performances of a number of student groups
representing different cultures.
Cultural
Explosion
Each spring, students organize a large performance open
to the entire campus community. In this show, numerous
student groups offer performances representing many different
cultures - from Thai stick dancing, to the Chinese lion
dance, to American acapella groups, the show always offers
something new and interesting.
